The Powertrain Limited Warranty that comes with your new Chevrolet, Buick or GMC lasts for five years or 60,000 miles, whichever comes first, but other durations are available. The below repairs are covered, including parts and labor, due to defects in materials and/or workmanship:

• Engine: Components such as engine block, cylinder head, manifolds, timing gears, oil pump, all internally lubricated parts, seals, gaskets and internal electrical components.
• Transmission/Transaxle and Transfer Case (if equipped): Components such as the case, all internally lubricated parts, mounts, seals, gaskets and internal electrical components.
• Drive Systems: Components such as propeller shafts, universal joints, constant-velocity joints, axle shafts, bearings, final-drive housings and all internally lubricated parts.

If your new Chevrolet, Buick or GMC have any emissions-related components that require repairs, the Federal Emission Control Systems Warranty has your back. The warranty with the broadest coverage applies, depending on the type of vehicle and the emissions component:

• Light-Duty Car or Truck: Emissions-related components are warranted for two years or 24,000 miles, whichever comes first. Select emissions-related components are warranted for eight years or 80,000 miles, whichever comes first. Covered components include: catalytic converters, engine control module, transmission control module and other diagnostic-emissions-critical electronic control units.
• Heavy-Duty Truck: Emissions-related components are warranted for eight years of 80,000 miles, whichever comes first.

All body and sheet metal components are warranted against corrosion for the duration of the warranty. Coverage periods typically last for three years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first, but other durations may be available.

All body and sheet metal components are warranted against rust-through — an actual hole in the panel — for the duration of the warranty. Coverage periods typically last for six years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first, but other durations may be available.

When you purchase or lease a new Chevrolet, Buick or GMC, your first service visit is covered, including an oil change, multipoint vehicle inspection and tire rotations on all four tires. The service visit must occur at a participating dealer within the first year of vehicle delivery (like ours). Does not include air filters. Other restrictions apply.
