Chevy offers various cab configurations for the 2024 Silverado 1500. The same goes for the 2024 F-150. To keep things simple, we’ll compare each truck’s largest four-door cab. Here, the 2024 Silverado 1500 offers a vast amount of cabin space. It’s notably roomier than the 2024 F-150, particularly in the rear seat. Hence, longer journeys will be more pleasurable. This is particularly true if you’ve got more than one passenger to transport. Higher trims can also be outfitted with open-pore wood interior accents and leather seat upholstery. The 2024 F-150 offers some of these luxury features, too.
Buyers of these pickup trucks can choose from various cargo bed lengths. New for the 2024 Silverado 1500 is an optional Multi-Flex smart tailgate. This tailgate is a multi-part unit that can open in multiple configurations. Hence, users can configure it as a regular or half-height tailgate, a work surface, or a load stop. They can even use it as a seat when out and about in the field. Some of these configurations are accessible via the vehicle’s key fob. The 2024 Ford F-150 can also be fitted with a split-folding tailgate, but it isn’t as versatile.
Higher trims of both full-size pickup trucks get dual-zone climate control with rear passenger air vents. They also include powered, heated, and ventilated front seats. Digital gauge clusters and heads-up displays are available. Both trucks also support Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ in all trims. For the 2024 Silverado 1500, these come with wireless integration across the range. Sound system upgrades and wireless phone chargers are also available. Higher 2024 Silverado 1500 trims add Amazon Alexa and a Google-powered voice assistant, too.

Moving up the range, the next engine is a 5.3-liter naturally aspirated V8. This engine offers 355 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque. The V8 engines and the turbodiesel unit are paired with an automatic transmission. Some trims also get steering wheel-mounted gear shift paddles. These allow the driver to manually change gears.
Depending on trim, the 2024 Silverado 1500 comes with rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive. Chevy also offers the ZR2 trim for off-road enthusiasts. This comes with special Multimatic DSSV adaptive dampers. These dampers are available for selected other trims, too. Then, the ZR2 gets 33-inch mud-terrain tires, a two-speed transfer case, and electronically locking differentials. Buyers can also expect underbody skid plates.
The 2024 Ford F-150 has multiple engines. The range starts with a 325-horsepower 2.7-liter turbocharged V6. Then, there’s a 400-horsepower 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V6.
